Note: The software must be used while connected to the Internet. If you wish to use it offline, please connect via a mobile hotspot, keep the software running for 30 seconds, and then disconnect the network. (You can check the log; as long as the log shows that the network verification succeeded, you can disconnect.)
Software Installation
- Double-click rebocap_release_v01.exe (the current version is rebocap_release_v01.exe)
- Install according to the steps shown below
- Open the rebocap software
- Open from the Start Menu
- Open via the desktop shortcut

2025-12-03 Update: rebocap Release V01
VR Section:
- Added in-place locomotion; while stepping in place, it simulates the joystick steadily and slowly pushing forward. Please read the help documentation for details (Advanced Feature)
- Added VR virtual ground height adjustment, range −100 cm to 100 cm (Advanced Feature)
- Added controller replacement feature; when enabled, the palm tracker will replace the controller’s position and orientation. Please read the help documentation for details (Advanced Feature)
- Upgraded SteamVR plugin and attempted to fix the issue where a tracker is recognized as a controller
- Fixed the error of foot sole pivot point when importing a skeleton in VR mode (primarily affecting IK computation) that caused the character’s feet and whole body to be lowered
- After yaw reset, the auto-recenter function will be triggered proactively
- Added a toggle to automatically hide powered-off nodes; when enabled, nodes that are turned off will be hidden automatically
- Restored the chest/waist follow-headset function in VR
PC Section:
- Updated motion calibration algorithm; lowered the T-pose arm posture requirement and fixed asymmetric arm issues for some users
- Added arm IK; “Clasp IK” reduces arm crossing when hands are clasped, and “A-pose IK” addresses severe clipping when the virtual character’s shoulders are too narrow and arms hang vertically
- Added MMD motion export and PMX model import. Note: VMD motions do not contain IK; you need to remove IK constraints yourself.
- Fixed bug where animation frame rate jumped, maximum 999
General Section:
- UI updated; partitioned by function and refined some terminology translations, making feature descriptions more user-friendly
- Added Advanced Settings toggle, plus settings export, settings import, and restore default settings functions
- Removed the issue where failing the “stationary detection” prevented calibration
- Added auto-connect feature; manual clicking of the Connect button is no longer required
- Added receiver firmware upgrade to resolve packet loss under high CPU load (especially on AMD CPUs)
- Trackers upgraded to firmware v07, overall more stable
- Added ability to select partial nodes for six-axis mode (Advanced Feature)
- Fixed bug where some gyroscopes failed to zero after calibration
Others:
- Added startup screen to avoid long background waiting time
- Enhanced stability of the 3D window
- Added three verification servers (China, Hong Kong, and USA); verification passes as long as any one of them succeeds.
- Fixed occasional bug where data transmission was reported as failed during calibration (it was actually successful)
- Default skeleton changed to the community-recommended one, and other default parameters adjusted

2025-04-22 Update: rebocap_preview05
- Major upgrade to IK and fixed IK bugs, while upgrading the AI Engine model for more stable foot placement and significantly improved dance effects.
New IK parameters added, such as waist flexibility, located in the motion capture panel. Please refer to the help documentation for specific usage.
- Firmware upgraded to V6 for more stable communication, especially in weak signal conditions, and reduced the probability of motion calibration crashes.
VR Side Updates:
- Upgraded SteamVR plugin for more stable connections and support for non-English usernames (close SteamVR and reopen Rebocap for automatic installation).
- Fixed various VR heading calibration bugs and added arm heading calibration.
- Double-click the chest sensor for heading calibration & double-click the waist sensor for motion calibration.
- Added heading calibration sound.
- Fixed heading calibration bug after node replacement in VR.
- Added VR chest correction feature, disabled by default.
Recommended to enable only in 6-axis mode, it will forcibly compensate for normal chest deviation.
PC-Specific Updates:
- Added PC-side recording and offline playback of raw data (.rebo_anim format files).

- Added pose freeze feature (pose will also freeze during motion calibration).
- Added position offset feature for convenient keyboard movement of character position and orientation.

BUG Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where wearing on the chest could lead to a probability of the tracker being in 6-axis mode.
- Fixed shoulder linkage bug (shoulders tended to collapse in previous versions).
- Fixed battery level display bug.
- Fixed character distortion issue during motion calibration.
- Fixed some Japanese translation issues.

- Upgraded Rebocap3D preview for lower memory usage, reduced visual distortion, and more user-friendly interaction.

2024-12-24 Update: rebocap_preview04
- Upgrade the firmware to enhance hardware stability and improve communication algorithms, boosting communication interference resistance. You need to update the firmware yourself, and all updates must be successful. If an update fails, you can try again.

Testing Version
[danger] The gray version may have instability issues as it is a testing version. Please download with caution. If you require better stability, it is recommended to use the latest released version instead of the testing version.
